Our experience with Valerie was wonderful. She was our doula when COVID-19 lockdown started, I was in a very vulnerable position and she always found a way to support us. She is extremely caring, supporting and intuitive for birth preparation, post-partum and breastfeeding. It made all the difference to know that we could rely on Valerie, being away from our family and having to deal with the uncertainties of the pandemic. Having Valerie with us on this journey made a huge difference. Being able to check in with her and get her opinion and advice gave us a lot of confidence to consider next steps to take. Sadly we couldn't have Valerie in hospital due to Covid, but she was just a phone call away and it was great to have that support througout labour. Her care after our little one was born was wonderful and such a big help, especially now that visits from family are so difficult.

I am a highly anxious person when it comes to all things medical and the thought of giving birth utterly terrified me. I knew I wanted a doula to support me throughout my journey and I am so happy that I chose Valerie. She is so kind, patient, warm, and empathetic. From the get-go, I felt like she understood me, and she tailored her approach to my needs and my fears. It’s like having a trusted friend who is super knowledgeable about all things pregnancy and birth by your side. She empowered us to make the right choices for us instead of blindly accepting whatever was thrown our way (like being bullied into an induction @ 41 weeks despite all test results coming back perfect). Unfortunately, we were not allowed to have her with us during the birth of our daughter due to Covid, which we knew would be the case, but she prepared my husband to be an A+ birthing partner.
